Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The First sorrowful
mystery:
The agony in the Garden:
Dear Jesus, your example of resignation, acceptance and love
makes us realize that the Father has our lives in His hands and nothing happens
to us that is not for our good.
The second
cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in
heaven.

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The second
sorrowful mystery:
The scourging at the pillar:
Dear Jesus, this incident was not only painful, but
humiliating. Each stroke of the whip
made you wince with pain, and the gaze of the onlookers made you feel like a
worm and no man.
The third
cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in
heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The third sorrowful
mystery:
The crowning with thorns:
Dear Jesus, our lack of confidence in your mercy and the
luke-warmness of our love braided the crown of thorns, this instrument of
torture into a wreath of unspeakable pain.
The fourth
cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy
kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The fourth
sorrowful mystery:
The Carrying of the cross:
You loved us enough, dear Jesus, to take upon your bleeding
shoulders the ward of your cross. May
our cross be one cross, dear Jesus, that together we may glorify the Father and
save souls.
The fifth cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy
kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The fifth sorrowful mystery:
The crucifixion:
You gave your life for us when we were yet sinners. Help us, Jesus, to see your loving gaze as
you looked up to the Father with abandonment, at the thief with mercy, and at
your mother with love.
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver

The First joyful
mystery:
The Annunciation:
“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God
unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose
name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said,
Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee:
blessed art thou among women. And when
she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner
of salutation this should be. And the
angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb,
and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the
Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his
father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his
kingdom there shall be no end. Then said
Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The
Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow
thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be
called the Son of God. And behold, thy
cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the
sixth month with her, who was called barren.” (St. Luke 1: 26-38)
Almighty Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, You have revealed
the beauty of Your power by exalting the lowly virgin of Nazareth and making her the mother of our
Savior. May the prayers of this woman
bring Jesus to the waiting world and fill the void of incompletion with the
presence of her Child, who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost,
one God now and forevermore. Amen.
The second
cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in

trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The second joyful
mystery:
The Visitation:
“And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill
country with haste, into a city of Juda,
and entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth
heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb, and Elisabeth was
filled with the Holy Ghost, and she spake out with a loud voice, and said,
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of
my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as
soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my
womb for joy. And blessed is she that
believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her
from the Lord. And Mary said, My soul
doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his
handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me
blessed. For he that is mighty hath done
to me great things; and holy is his name.
And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to
generation. He hath shewed strength with
his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats,
and exalted them of low degree. He hath
filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his
mercy; as he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. And Mary abode with her about three months,
and returned to her own home. (St. Luke
1: 39-56)
Eternal Father, You inspired the Virgin Mary, mother of Your
Son, to visit Elisabeth and assist her in her need. Keep us open to the working of Your Spirit,
and with Mary may we praise You forever.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who liveth and
reigneth with You and the Holy Ghost, one God now and forevermore. Amen.
The third
cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in
heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. Amen.
At the weeks:
(said 7 times): Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of
God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father +,
and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The third joyful
mystery:
The Nativity:
“And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a
decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius
was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his
own city. And Joseph also went up from
Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David,
which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David)
to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there,
the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and
wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was
no room for them in the inn. And there
were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over
their flock by night. And, lo, the angel
of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them,
and they were sore afraid. And the angel
said unto them, Fear not, for, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy,
which shall be to all people. For unto
you is born this day in the city of David
a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And
this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling
clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly
there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and
saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward
men. And it came to pass, as the angels
were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us
now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the
Lord hath made known unto us. And they
came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad
the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those
things which were told them by the shepherds.
But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and
praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told
unto them.” (St. Luke 2: 1-20)
Lord our God, with the birth of Your Son, Your glory breaks
on the world. Through the night hours of
the darkened earth, we Your people watch for the coming of Your promised
son. As we wait, grant us a foretaste of
the joy that You will grant us when the fullness of His glory has filled the
Earth, who liveth and reigneth with You and the Holy Ghost, one God now and
forevermore. Amen.
The fourth
cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy
kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil.

As it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The fourth joyful
mystery:
The Presentation in the Temple:
“And when the days of her purification according to the law
of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to
the Lord; (as it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the
womb shall be called holy to the Lord) and to offer a sacrifice according to
that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young
pigeons. And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was
Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the
Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was
revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he
had seen the Lord’s Christ. And he came
by the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus,
to do for him after the custom of the law, then took he him up in his arms, and
blessed God and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace,
according to thy word. For mine eyes
have seen thy salvation which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. And Joseph and his mother marveled at those
things which were spoken of him. And
Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set
for the fall and rising again of many in Israel;
and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea, a sword shall pierce
through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be
revealed. And there was one Anna, a
prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser; she was a widow of
about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served
God with fastings and prayers night and day.
And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and
spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord,
they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.” (St. Luke 2: 22-39)
All powerful Father, Christ Your Son became Man for us and
was presented in the temple. May He free
our hearts from sin and bring us into your presence. We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God now and
forevermore. Amen.
The fifth cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy
kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. Amen.
Glory be to the Father +,
and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The fifth joyful
mystery:
The Finding in the Temple:
“And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the
custom of the feast. And when they had
fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and
his mother knew not of it. But they,
supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey, and they
sought him among the kinsfolk and acquaintance.
And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. And it came to pass, that after three days
they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing
them, and asking them questions. And
when they saw him, they were amazed; and his mother said unto him, Son, why
hast thou thus dealt with us? Behold,
thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s
business? And they understood not the
saying which he spake unto them. And he
went down with them, and came to Nazareth,
and was subject unto them, but his mother kept all these sayings in her
heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and
stature, and in favour with God and man.”
(St. Luke 2: 42-52)
Father, help us to live as the Holy Family, united in
respect and love. Bring us to the joy
and peace of Your eternal home. Grant
this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the
Holy Ghost, one God now and forevermore.
Amen.

The first luminous
mystery:
The baptism of Jesus in the Jordan:
“And Jesus, when he was baptized, went straightway out of
the water, and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of
God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him; and, lo, a voice from heaven, saying,
This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (St. Matthew 3: 16-17)
Heavenly Father, as we behold this mystery, we pray for the
grace of a deeper conversion. In our
baptism we have received the light of Christ in our hearts. May His grace renew us constantly and reach
also all those who have not been baptized and don’t know Him. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The second
cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,

The second luminous
mystery:
The Wedding of Cana:
“And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee,
and the mother of Jesus was there, and both Jesus was called, and his
disciples, to the marriage. And when
they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him; They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to
do with thee? Mine hour is not yet
come. His mother saith unto the
servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of
the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the water pots
with water. And they filled them up to
the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw
out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare
it. When the ruler of the feast had
tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was (but the
servants which drew the water knew) the governor of the feast called the
bridegroom, and saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good
wine, and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse, but thou hast
kept the good wine until now. This
beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his
glory, and his disciples believed on him.”
(St. John
2: 1-11)
Heavenly Father, as we behold this mystery, we pray in
thanksgiving for the revelation of your power through your Son our Lord Jesus
Christ. Just as Jesus transformed water
into wine, we pray that we may be transformed into vessels of Your grace, that
others may see and believe on Him.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The third luminous
mystery:
The proclamation of the Kingdom:
“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into
Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is
fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye, and believe the
gospel.” (St. Mark 1: 14-15)
Heavenly Father, as we behold this mystery, we open our
hearts to the teachings of your Son Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word of
God. We come in our darkness to be
filled with the light of Christ who says I am the light of the world. May we repent and believe your holy gospel,
that we may become your light to this world of darkness. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The fourth luminous
mystery:
The transfiguration:
“And it came to pass about an eight days after these
sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to
pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of
his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. And, behold, there talked with him two men,
which were Moses and Elias, who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease
which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.” (St. Luke 9: 28-31)
Heavenly Father, as we behold this mystery, we pray that the
light of Christ will transform our lives, raising us from the dust of our human
existence into the light of divinity.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The fifth cruciform:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy
kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. Amen.
Glory be to the Father +,
and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those
in most need of thy mercy.
The fifth luminous
mystery:
The institution of the Holy Eucharist:
“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any
man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever, and the bread that I give is my
flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (St.
John 6:51)
Heavenly Father, as we behold this mystery, we thank you for
providing us with our daily spiritual bread, the light of our souls. We pray that you will give us hunger for the
Holy Eucharist and the highest reverence for the Presence of your Son,
Emmanuel, the Bread of Life, God with us in the Sacrifice of the Holy
Mass. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil. Amen.
At the invitatory: I
believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ
his only Son our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin
Mary: Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried: He
descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead: He ascended into heaven,
And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty: From thence he shall
come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy
Ghost: The holy Catholic Church; The Communion of Saints: The forgiveness of sins:
The Resurrection of the body: + And the Life everlasting. Amen.
At the crucifix:
In the Name of the Father, + and
of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
